Guide
How to start a task you've been putting off
Pick the task, reduce it to the very first physical action (open the document, type the first sentence), and commit to just two minutes. Starting is usually the hardest part, and two minutes is small enough to say yes to.
Step by step
- Name the one task you're avoiding.
- Ask: what's the first physical action? Make it tiny.
- Set a two-minute timer.
- Do only that action until the timer ends.
- Then decide whether to keep going.

What if I stop after two minutes?
That's allowed. The commitment is two minutes, and anything past that is a bonus.
